Dan Randles grew up in Missoula, Montana where he was a state runner up in 1977 and a state champion in 1978 for a Hellgate High School team that won the state title. From there he wrestled for North Idaho College for 2 years and the University of Montana for his final 2 years. He finished as a 4th place finisher in the Big Sky tournament his senior year. His first coaching job was in Tonapah, Nevada. Dan turned the program around and placed second in state twice in the "A" division and second once in the "AA" clasification. Along with his high school and college wrestling, Dan was also involved in freestyle wrestling. He won several competitions as both a wrestler and coach. Dan was selected to take a Nevada all-star team on a cultural exchange trip to New Zeland.
In 1992 Dan moved to Clarkston to become the health teacher and started the same wrestling program that helped Tonapah achieve success. After 3 tough building years in a very competitive league, Clarkston finised second in league and 9th in the class"AA" competition in 1996. In 2000 Clarkston won its first ever Frontier League and Region IV tittle. With the start of the "Gator Freestyle Club" and "Snake River Reptiles" Dan has laid the foundations for a sound wrestling system in the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley. David
Weakland-Assistant Coach

Dave Weakland grew up in Spokane, Washington where he wrestled for University High School under Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Famer, Rick Scilia. Dave placed 5th in the state "AAAA" classification his junior(1985) year and 4th his senior year(1986). Along with wrestling, Dave has also been involved in the sport of judo since the age of 6. He was a high school state champion(1984) and a USJF Junior National runner-up in 1988. Dave's first coaching job was as an assistant at East Valley High School, where he spent two years. He helped coach the Knights to 2 consecutive Frontier League titles and a 9th and 4th place team finish in the "AA" classification at state.
In 1992 Dave moved to Clarkston and helped assist in the building of Clarkston's wrestling program. He teaches world geography and is responsible for the G.U.T.S. Club conditioning program that the CHS wrestlers participate in. This is an early morning conditioning session that wrestlers show up for to improve their physical endurance and mental toughness. Jim
Holman -Assistant Coach
Jim is a former Clarkston High School wrestler who now teaches at Asotin High School Prior to this he was the head coach at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, WA. Jim also assisted the Clarkston High School wrestling team as he was getting his degree at Lewis and Clark State College for 8 years. We welcome Jim back as great guy to work with our bigger weights and bring some of his Ridgefield instruction to the program.
Gary
Steeby-Assistant Coach
Gary Steeby grew up in Chugiak, Alaska whe re he wrestled for Chugiak High School. Gary's high school career was outstanding! He won 4 consecutive state tittles from 1971 to 1974 and had a career high school record of 129 wins and only 4 losses. Gary is an inductee of the Alaska High School's Hall of Fame for his outstanding wrestling career. After high school, Gary wrestled for Gray Habor Junior College from 1975-1976 and then transfered to Southern Oregon for the 1976, 1977 seasons. Gary will bring a lot of expertise to the room as he also has experience coaching at the high school level.
